These Booking Conditions apply to all international bookings made with Indigo Expedition (excluding UK and European Economic Area). Please read carefully before booking.
1 Our Contract
Your booking contract is with Indigo Expedition (us/we/our). By booking a trip with us you have agreed to be bound by:
- These Booking Conditions
- Essential Trip Information and Important Notes that apply to your trip
- Any Special Conditions that may apply
Your booking will be accepted by us on this basis. The services to be provided are those referred to in your booking confirmation invoice.
2 Privacy Policy
Any personal information that we collect about you will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for reviewing this Privacy Policy periodically and informing yourself of any changes.
3 Deposit Requirement
You are required to pay a non-refundable deposit for your booking to be confirmed:
- USD $500 per person per trip (or equivalent in other currencies)
- If booking within 56 days of departure, full payment is required
- Deposit amounts may vary for selected trips and special campaigns
Deposits are non-refundable but may be held as credit under certain cancellation conditions.
4 Acceptance of Booking & Final Payments
If we accept your booking, we will issue a confirmation invoice. A contract exists from the date we issue the confirmation.
Payment of the balance is due 56 days before departure. If not paid by the due date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled.
5 Prices & Surcharges
Our trip prices are subject to variable and seasonal pricing. This means prices may vary based on demand, market conditions and availability.
We reserve the right to impose surcharges up to 56 days before departure due to:
- Unfavourable exchange rate changes
- Increases in transportation costs
- Increases in local operator costs
- Government-imposed taxes
If any surcharge results in an increase of more than 10% of the trip price, you may cancel within 14 days of notification for a full refund.
6 Your Details
For us to confirm your travel arrangements, you must provide all requested details including:
- Full name as per passport
- Date of birth and nationality
- Passport number and expiry date
- Any pre-existing medical conditions
7 Cancellation by You
If you cancel some or all portions of your booking, the following fees apply:
- 56+ days before departure: Deposit held as credit
- 31-55 days before departure: 30% of total cost
- 15-30 days before departure: 60% of total cost
- 14 days or fewer before departure: 100% of total cost
We strongly recommend taking out cancellation insurance at the time of booking.
9 Cancellations Due to Force Majeure
A trip may be cancelled due to a Force Majeure Event occurring at your destination that significantly affects the performance of the holiday.
In these circumstances, Indigo Expedition will offer you:
- A 100% credit of monies paid; or
- A refund minus unrecoverable costs
A "Force Majeure Event" includes but is not limited to: acts of God; war; civil unrest; epidemics; extreme weather events; government actions; and other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
13 Age & Health Requirements
Minimum Age: 16 years at time of travel. All travellers under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
Maximum Age: No upper limit, but passengers must ensure they are suitably fit for the trip's physical demands.
It is your responsibility to obtain proper medical advice prior to travel regarding health requirements for your destination.
16 Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory for all our travellers and must be taken out at the time of booking.
Your policy must provide cover against:
- Personal accident and death
- Medical expenses
- Emergency repatriation (minimum $200,000 coverage)
You must provide your insurance details on the first day of your trip.
20 Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability whatsoever to you or any other person for any loss, damage or injury that may be suffered as a result of any act or omission by or on behalf of us.
Where the law implies warranties that cannot be excluded, our liability will be limited to either supplying the services again or payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.
We contract with third party suppliers and are not responsible for their acts or omissions. Any disputes with third parties must be resolved directly with them.
